What Would I do Without You

by Sara Sherlock on Jul 06 2021
Hello!  It's Sara, from Much Love, Sara.  Today's card features the new I'll Always Pick You Stamp Set, along with the new My Bike and I Stamp.   The bike image is super adaptable to whatever genre of card you are making, and because the image is a "loose" style drawing, your coloring doesn't need to be fancy.  This image works well with "messier" coloring, or even watercoloring.

Hello!  It's Sara, from Much Love, Sara.  The new release is here, and did you see all of the adorable mermaid sets?  I had so much fun playing with the new sets this month! The adorable mermaids on this first card, are from the A Fishy Lot Stamp Set.  I stamped the images in Black Hybrid Ink, onto white card stock, and colored them in using Prismacolor pencils.  Then I die cut the images using the Coordinating Dies.

Finds A Good Friend

Hello!  It's Sara, from Much Love, Sara.  Today's card features the adorable Cats are Family Stamp Set, along with a scene background created with stencils.  This card began by adhering the English Brick Wall Stencil to a white panel of card stock.  Using a Life Changing Blender Brush, I blended Crackling Campfire Distress Oxide Ink through the stencil.  Then, using a smaller brush, I added a bit of Pumice Stone Distress Oxide Ink to areas.  I used Painter's tape, to reveal a small "strip" of card stock above the stencil, and blended Pumice Stone and Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Inks to form the top of the wall.  Once I removed the stencil, I added a little Hickory Smoke Ink to the revealed grout lines to add some shading.   I taped off the inked portion, and used the Slim Line Cloud Coverage Stencil, to create the clouds on the top of the card front.  I blended Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink on with a Life Changing Blender Brush, and rotated the stencil on each level to change the pattern.   On white card stock, I stamped two of the cat images from the Cats are Family Stamp Set, using Black Hybrid Ink.  I also stamped the sentiment onto the inked panel, with the same ink.  Using Prismacolor Pencils, I colored in the cat images, and added some detail to the brick wall created earlier.  Then, I used the Cats Are Family Coordinating Dies to cut the cat images out.  The cat images were adhered to the card front using foam tape, and then the card front was attached to a white card base made from heavyweight white card stock.   I hope you enjoyed today's card.  Find more cards using products from the April Release over on my blog.  Have a fantastic Tuesday!  Much Love,                                                  Sara

Hello!  It's Sara, from Much Love, Sara.   I used the new Paper Glaze Enhancer  on today's card.  The Enhancer makes the Glaze super silky, along with making the pearlized finish of the Glaze more matte.  It allows for a really smooth application as well.  I had the idea of playing with the change in finish to create a fun background, and today's card was the result.

Lilies & Love

by Sara Sherlock on Mar 23 2021
Hello!  It's Sara, from Much Love, Sara.   Growing up, my grandmother had a double row of Orange Asiatic Lilies growing in her front flower bed every summer - along with numerous other flowers throughout her yard.  I did not inherit her green thumb AT ALL, but I have managed to keep a single Asiatic Lily coming back for a few years now.  I can see it from my kitchen window and it always reminds me of her flowers.   When I saw the Lilies for Spring Stamp Set, I knew I had to color them as the lilies I remembered.

Life Sucks Without You

by Sara Sherlock on Mar 02 2021
Hello!  It's Sara, from Much Love, Sara.  I'm here to share this super soft and pretty Get Well card with you today, using one of the new stencils and stamp sets from the February release, along with a couple of previously released items.   For today's card, I began by inking the background of the card front. I used Tattered Rose Distress Oxide Ink, and one of my Life Changing Blender Brushes, through the Center Flower 6x6 Stencil, onto white card stock.  I slightly offset the stencil when I inked it, and inked heavier in the center of the stencil, blending outward.     Then, I white heat embossed the sentiments from the Life Sucks Without You Stamp Set, onto a strip of gray card stock.  I die cut multiple sets of leaves from Vellum, and Mirror Silver card stock, using the Maple Leaves Dies.  I layered the pieces together, and matted the card front with more gray card stock.  The card front was attached to a white card base, and finished off with a scattering of my favorite Gin & Tonic Sequins.   Have a fantastic Tuesday! Much Love,                                                  Sara

Hello!  It's Sara from Much Love Sara, here to share some fun today.  Today I'm sharing a card, that has 3D embellishments made from Paper Glaze! Have you ever been playing with a product, and had a random "I wonder..." go through your mind?  This happened to me recently, with the Paper Glazes - I wondered how they would work in silicone molds.  So, I quickly dug out a mold, and filled a few spots with the Snowdrop White Paper Glaze.
