Hello, crafty friends!! Brenda here with a colorful butterfly card featuring goodies from the February release!! I just love all the butterflies and bees in this release!! My card today features the Layering Fauna Butterfly Die on a rainbow foiled butterfly background from the Flutter Fly Fabulous Foiling Toner Card Front Set!!
I started by foiling the background on a panel from the Flutter Fly Fabulous Foiling Toner Card Front Set with Rainbow Flake Foil. I trimmed the top and bottom of the panel and adhered it to an A2 black cardstock panel.
Next, I die-cut the Layering Fauna Butterfly Die Set from white and black cardstock. I used Rainbow Pint-sized Paper Pouncers to add color to the inside pieces of white cardstock with Distress Oxide Inks. I used Picked Raspberry, Festive Berries, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, Salty Ocean and wilted Violet. The outline of the butterfly was adhered to the background and the inside pieces were inlaid into the openings.
The sentiment, from the Baby Butterfly Beauties Stamp Set (which is on sale for a great price!), was white heat embossed onto black cardstock and cut out with the Coordinating Die. I also used the die-cut to cut a layer from black foam adhesive to layer behind the sentiment for dimension. It was popped up in the center of the butterfly to finish off the card.
