Hello! It's Sara, from Much Love, Sara. Today I have a fun Flamingo shaker card to share with you . I began the card by stamping the new Flamingo Boogie Repeating Stamp, onto seafoam card stock, using Versamark ink. I heat embossed the sea of Flamingos in rose gold, and then added some color to the birds with my Polychromos pencils, and a black ink pen.
I took a strip ofdark green card stock, and layered theTropical Leaves A2 Stencilover the top. I inked it with thecoordinating green ink. Then I layered it under the flamingo panel, with a small strip ofrose gold glitter paperin between.
Using a circle die from theScallop Frame Die Set,. I die cut the circle from the completed panel, as well as cut the frame from therose gold glitter paper. While I had the die machine out, I die cut a panel of theExtra Wide Foam Tape with the circle in the same place. Then I die cut theHappy Day Word Topper Die from both thedark green card stockI used earlier, and acopper card stock. I layered them together, and then trimmed the banner portion, so it showed more of the flamingos.
I added acetate to the back of the main card panel, before adding the panel of foam tape. I adhered the glitter circle frame to the front. The I glued the circle panel that was die cut from the card front, to a slightly larger piece of scrap card stock. I added a couple generous pinches of the Blue Flamingo Mambo Sequin Mix on top of the circle, then carefully laid the card front over the top (this allowed me to ensure the panel matched up with the card front, and that everything was straight). Then, I finally adhered the card panel to a white card base.
I hope you enjoyed today's project. Find more cards using products from Picket Fence Studios over on my blog. Have a fantastic day!
