Know You Are Surrounded By Love

by Brenda Noelke on May 15 2024
Happy Wednesday, fellow crafters!! This week sure is flying by!! Brenda here with an encouragement card featuring goodies from yesterday's release!! I started by white heat embossing the flowers from the Sweet Summer Bellflowers Stamp Set onto Bristol smooth cardstock. I watercolored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, then cut them out with their Coordinating Dies. For the background, I stamped the She Endured Background Stamp onto a panel of Bristol cardstock by coloring on the stamp with the same markers that I used on the flowers, spritzing it with water, then stamping it onto the panel. It was die-cut with the largest arched die in the Basic Die-cutting Die Set 1. I used the two largest arched dies in the same set to cut a frame from plum cardstock, then I cut the second largest arched die from vellum. The largest die in the A2 Rectangle Layering Die Set was cut from blue cardstock and the She Endured Background Stamp was stamped onto it with blue ink. All of the layers were adhered together with liquid glue and the flowers were adhered across the front of the panel.  The sentiment, from the Swanky Sentiments: Sympathy Stamp Set, was white heat embossed onto plum cardstock. It was cut out with its Coordinating Die and popped up with foam tape.  That does it for me today!! Thanks so much for stopping by!! I hope the rest of your week goes well!! Brenda

Release Day!! Rainbow BFF My Tribe cards with Erica!

by Erica Andersson-Burke on Apr 14 2020
Hi guys and HAPPY RELEASE DAY!!  Today is the 14th, which means a new release from Picket Fence Studios! I'm popping in with a couple of cards made with the BFF My Tribe stamp. In these uncertain and scary times where we can't be with our friends, it's a nice reminder that, whilst not physically together, we are stronger together. Even in spirit or via FaceTime.  I did two cards for this post, one with Copics and one with Zig markers. There is also a YouTube video over on my channel if you want to have a look at the rest of the release as well as the making of these cards.  With the help of my new black, shiny and pretty Mini MISTI I stamped the BFF My Tribe up with Black Hybrid ink on Neenah #110 card stock and Bristol Vellum paper. The one on Bristol I also stamped with VersaMark ink and sprinkled Clear Gloss embossing powder on, which I set with my heat tool.  However I cleaned it off with the Stamp Scrubber in between though. I don't want to contaminate my ink pad and the Stamp Scrubber gets all the ink out of the nooks and crannies. I love the fact that it only has to be wetted with water, and you don't have to use any nasty smelling chemicals with it, for it to work. Then when it's dirty, you just wash it with some soap and you are good to go!  The BFF My Tribe images themselves have been coloured in a rainbow fashion, I tried sticking to the same colours and shades in the same places, as much as possible on both cards. Not sure why I felt the need to do that, but I love how they turned out. I do have to work on my skin tones a bit though, especially with the Copic markers, but that's ok. The colouring challenge #TheDailyMarker30Day is still going on, thank goodness, so I'll be practicing a lot.  With the colouring done on them both, I trimmed the panels down just a smidge to 5.25"x4" and then adhered these to white card bases. A fun sentiment from the I Freaking Love You set, stamped up with Black Hybrid ink later and the cards were done. I *almost* added some clear sequins but managed to rein myself in. What is the world coming to, eh?? LOL!   Well, that's it from me for today but don't forget to check out the rest of the release HERE.  Thanks for stopping by, lots of love and big hugs from Erica.

Distress Oxide Spray Background with Mindy Eggen

by Mindy Eggen on Dec 25 2019
Welcome back everyone and Merry Christmas! Mindy Eggen here with you today and I'm sharing a card that has absolutely nothing to do with Christmas but is colorful and fun! I'm working with products from the Picket Fence Studios December release. I'm starting with Charles the Chameleon. I stamp the image in Versafine ink onto Bristol Smooth card stock using my Misti tool. Then I sprinkle on clear embossing powder and heat emboss. Next, I color my image with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I am using the colors No. 020 Red, No. 070 Orange, No. 050 Yellow, No. 004 Green, No. 031 Cobalt Blue, and No. 082 Purple. Then I use the coordinating die to cut out the image. For my background, I sprayed my Points of Interest stencil with Pixie Spray. Then I attached the stencil to a piece of Meadow card stock and spritzed with Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Spray. I removed the stencil and once dry, I trimmed the panel down to 3" x 4" and attached to a piece of white card stock. I added a strip of brown card stock and added my panel to an A2 notecard made from Sea Salt card stock. I finished off the card by adding a sentiment I heat embossed in Gold onto Pitch Black card stock. The sentiment and Chameleon are added to the card front with foam squares. Here's a look at the stamp set and stencil that I used. All supplies will be listed below. Points of Interest Stencil SUPPLIES Below you will find links to the products used.
