Foiled Watercolor

by Angela Bode on Jan 24 2020
Welcome and a happy Friday to you!   One of the first techniques I learned as a new stamper was to add ink on a craft sheet and spritz with water, then swish cardstock through the watery ink.  It's still one of my favorite ways to create interesting backgrounds.  I created several backgrounds with the technique and let them dry.  After selecting a background I foiled and die cut it with this Two-Part Foiling and Cutting Die set.  I was thrilled with the result!  I am a huge fan of white and black with a bit of color so I simply splattered a bit of black ink on white cardstock and stamped the Thank You sentiment.  Lastly, I added the succulent to the card.    That's it for me today!  I hope this inspires you to add shine to your projects with foil! Have a wonderful weekend! Angie

I'm Here For The Cake

by Becky Roberts on Jan 10 2020
Hi Friends, Becky Roberts here today on the Picket Fence Blog.  Have you ever shown up to an occasion just because you know there will be cake?  LOL  I have!  Seems appropriate, right? For this card, I used the beautiful background stamp, A City in the World.  I love that it could be virtually anywhere! The girl is stamped with the German Braids stamp set and German Braids coordinating die.  I colored her hair with Copic Markers E49, E18, E39, E17 and E13. The flower in her hair is from the Let's Decorate Stamp set and die and colored with Copic Markers R24, R22, R20 Leaves, YG97, YG95, YG93.  Let's Decorate Stamp Set                                       Let's Decorate Dies The sentiment which I love so much is from the stamp set called Cheat Day Enjoy some cake today!   Becky
