by Daniel West on Jan 04 2022
Hello there! Daniel West, here, with a fun ink-blended birthday card featuring the HB2U Word Die as a focal point. Today, I shared a video on how to make this card on the Picket Fence YouTube channel. You can check it out here. To create this card, I first laid down a rainbow of inks through the Flowers Stencil.

Hey cardmaking friends and welcome back.  It's Sandi MacIver here and today I have A Holly Jolly Christmas Card to share with you created with fun products from Picket Fence Studios. In creating this card, I've added a smooth silky textured background for interest and depth.  Paper Glaze and Paper Glitz are used in white which is striking but doesn't take away from the pretty holly art piece.  The gold mirror sentiment adds just the perfect amount of bling to the card.   How to create the A Holly Christmas Card. Start with a 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 piece of Hammermill White Cardstock.  Place the Triple Weave Stencil over it and add Snowdrop White Paper Glaze through it with a spatula, going up about 3/4 of the way. Next, cover a another piece of white cardstock 4-1/4 x 5-1/2, with a thin coat of Paper Glitz Sparkle and set that aside to dry. Using a Misti, stamp the Holly Jolly Christmas Stamp in copic friendly  Black ink and color with copic markers.  Cut it out with the coordinating die. COPICS USED: Green:  BG11, BG34, G19, G28 Pinks:  RV34, RV17, RV19 RV69 For the Sentiment: Use the Merry Christmas Word Topper Die over a piece of Mirror Gold card stock. Next, once the Paper Glaze is dry, glue the word topper across the bottom of the card front.  Flip it over and trim the ends before security it to a 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Spellbinders Blue Spruce cardstock. Finally, trim to fit and then add the piece to a top folding A2 sized white card base. Die Cutting the Snowflake On the piece of cardstock with the Paper Glitz Sparkle, add the Snowflake Alice and die cut it out.  Cut two more in white cardstock. Next, use the fine tip on the Bearly Art Glue to glue the snowflakes together with the shiny one on top and then glue it to the top of the card. Finally, add the Holly piece with foam squares and you are done.            used for the Picket Fence Studios A Holly Christmas Card: Here are the products I used today.  Compensated affiliate links used  where available at no cost to you. A Christmas Flower

by Sandi MacIver on Nov 12 2021
Hey cardmaking friends, welcome back.  It's Sandi MacIver here.  Today I have a GRUNGE CHRISTMAS card for you created with Picket Fence Studios A Christmas Flower Stamp Set.  I decided to stencil a bit of a messy "grungy" background just to change it up a bit.  Grunge is a technique I do enjoy, but I have never tried it on a Christmas Card before and I kind of like it.     How to create the Grunge Christmas Card Start by using the Misti to stamp the A Christmas Flower onto Hammermill cardstock using Picket Fence Studios Black Hybrid Ink (copic friendly). Next Use copic Markers to color the image in. Pinks:  RV55, RV17, RV17, Yellow:  Y17,  Greens:  G21, G24, G28 Finally, die cut the image out with the coordinating die.   Creating the Grunge Background: This is a soft Grunge with really only two layers. Start with a black card base 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 and secure it to a protected work surface. Spray the Flower Stencil with Pixie Spray and lay it over the cardstock. Use a palette knife to add Snowdrop White paper Glaze through the stencil randomly - don't fill it in completely. Remove the stencil and wash immediately.   While you are waiting for the paper glaze to dry, cut the Snowflake Alice twice from white card stock and once from Simon Glitter White. Stack the snowflakes with the glitter one on top and glue it to the top of the card front. Attach the card front to a top folding A2 White card base. Mix some Gold Gansai Tambi ink and splatter the front of the card. Stamp and cut out the sentiment from the Fancy Christmas Sentiments and coordinating die set. Use foam squares to attach the flower and sentiment to the card front. Embellish with 1950's Sequins.          used for the Picket Fence Studios Grunge Christmas Card: Here are the products I used today.  Compensated affiliate links used  where available at no cost to you.
