Hello! It's Sara, from Much Love, Sara. Today, I'm popping in to share a rather "Fancy" card with you. This card features the Fancy Kaleidoscope Stencil - used two ways - as well as the More Fancy Sentiments Stamp Set.
I started the card, by ink blending through the Fancy Kaleidoscope Stencil, using a Life Changing Blender Brush. I had used a little spray adhesive to hold the stencil to some white card stock while doing the ink blending. Once finished, I cleaned the stencil really well with some gentle soap and water, and dried it thoroughly.
I used the clean stencil to dry emboss a panel of pale gray card stock. To do this, follow the sandwich on your machine to emboss a wafer thin die, or to emboss a cut shape. My sandwich, was the platform for my machine, the tan embossing mat, my card stock, the stencil, and finally the embossing plate. This impressed the stencil pattern into the paper, and allowed the intricate interior pattern to look puffed up. If you would rather have the stencil impression raised, then you would put the tan embossing mat on top of the stencil, in the sandwich listed above.
I stamped the Thinking of You sentiment from the More Fancy Sentiments Set, in clear ink, onto vellum. Then, I heat embossed the sentiment with silver embossing powder. I fussy cut around the sentiment - making sure to leave a little edge of vellum, and also fussy cut the inked stencil panel.
I placed all of the pieces on a white card base with foam tape and liquid adhesive - including a strip of black card stock to help separate the sentiment piece from the light colored background. The card was finished with the application of some light blue dimensional drops around the inked stencil piece.
I really love this Fancy Kaleidoscope Stencil, and both of the Fancy Sentiment Sets. I hope this card inspires you to play with your stencils in muliple ways.
