Today I´m sharing a slimline format card showing some last release´s products like The Happy Fern die, which I loved because it has the perfect size for various types of cards.
Let´s start by the background. You can achieve that woody look easily with the Slimline Against the Grain Cover Plate Die. The texture is amazing. Instead of using sequins, I made some splatters with the Paper Splatter Watercolor in Liquid Gold color to bring some pop of shine to the card. The frame was made with a die from the Scalloped Frames dies and I cut it three times: two in white cardstock and one in a light kraft color.
I played with some alcohol inks on yupo paper and then diecut the paper with the new Layering Flora: Happy Fern Die. I also cut a piece of vellum and put the two pieces in the front. The vellum gives an elegant look with the pattern and the colors of the alcohol inks.
To finish the card I heat embossed one of the stamps in the new Get well, Again over a black cardstock with gold embossing powder.

I really love the the new water splatter. I really have to get some of that. It is one of my new favorites and is on my LOOOOONNNNGGGG wish list. HAHAHAHA.
I love your beautifully ink blended ferns with the water splatter!! Fabulous to just add the vellum to add depth, too!! Gorgeous card!!
Love your idea with the velum die cuts adding some extra interest in a subtle way. Beautiful card that would work for so many occasions especially for a man’s card.
