Before we jump into today's project, I wanted to let you know that I sometimes use affiliate links to share my favorite products. Don't worry, these links won't cost you a dime – they're just little crafty helpers behind the scenes that help support me if you use them to make a purchase! Let's dive into today's creative journey together!
Hello, friends! Justin here and I am so excited to be back on the Picket Fence Studios blog featuring my first 2025 release post! For today's card, I am featuring something that is both detailed and simple with the new Big Piggy Hugs stamp set by Yuzu Nook! This card heavily relies on a Fabulously Glossy Toner Card Front to set the perfect scene!
Below is a list of Picket Fence Studios products used to create this card:
Big Piggy Hugs Stamp Set by Yuzu Nook
Big Piggy Hugs Coordinating Die Set
Spring Gardening Fabulously Glossy A2 Card Fronts
Easter Bop Sequin Mix Plus
Let's get into some of the details for how this sweet card came together!
The most intensive part of this card was by far the coloring. I had stamped out all of the images that I wanted to use from the Big Piggy Hugs stamp set in alcohol-marker safe black ink on white paper, colored them with Copic Markers, and then used the coordinating die set to cut them out. I had also taken the sentiments "big hugs" and "if you were a carrot I'd always pick you", stamped them onto coral cardstock in Polished Ink by Catherine Pooler, and cut them out with the coordinating dies.
I took the landscape pattern from the Spring Gardening Fabulously Glossy A2 Card Fronts and arranged my images and sentiments. Once I was happy with the placement of all the images, I used a combination of liquid adhesive and foam tape to adhere all of the images. I love selectively using foam tape on only a few of the images, as it really brings those elements to the forefront of the card. It's something that may not show the best in photos, but really becomes noticeable when you see the card in person!
I adhered my panel to an A2-size card base, and then adhered a few sequins from the Easter Bop Sequin Mix Plus. My card was completed!
See, I told you this card would come together quiet easily! This card is also a fantastic example of when you can color essentially all of the images included in a stamp set for a single project!
