Soft and Pretty and Stencil Obsessed

Good morning friends. It's Lisa Henke and it's always an honor to show up on the PFS blog and get to share some of my creations with you. As a paper crafter I love all the stuff, it's exciting to get the latest and greatest tools. We are collectors of all the things, right? *wink*wink* I collect and I love using all those tools but some days it's nice to keep it simple. Simple is where I go when I have lost my mojo, or if I am just simply short on time. I love that I can still create a pretty card with minimal products, and PFS stencils ALWAYS save the day.  I still have the brand new Fancy Flourishes stencil on my desk so I taped that down on some white card stock and reached for a few of my Life Changing Blender Brushes and got inky. I used three colors of ink Blush, Citrine, and Tropical Teal. With a light hand I blended on the ink colors, overlapping them just a bit in the center of the Fancy Flourishes Stencil.  I trimmed the panel down to 4 x 5.5 and added the sentiment from Favorite Notification. This sentiment set is such a fresh, new, and sweet friendship set. I love the  mix of fonts, especially the one I used today. I am fairly certain we all have that friend that fits this sentiment. I used a grey ink to stamp the greeting and mounted the whole panel onto a soft grey card base. Soft, pretty, and a flat card makes for easy mailing. No excuses. A card like this can take 5-10 mintues max. Get inky and mail a card today!    Crafty hugs and happy hump day. It's almost the weekend, it's almost March, and   SPRING is getting closer.  -Lisa Henke

Yoga, Punching People is Frowned Upon

by Lisa Henke on Jan 29 2020
Hello friends! I am always excited to get to share with you here on the PFS blog. It's Lisa Henke and I am FINALLY getting a chance to show off my favorite card from the latest release. Did you see all the NEW products from the January Release yet? You can check it all out and SHOP HERE. So here is the sweet little yoga girl from Eat Sleep Yoga. She looks so sweet and innocent and perfectly in her zen, right? Then you read the sentiment.Bawhaha!  I LOVE a great snarky comment and this one is just awesome. I stamped it in a grey ink to keep the soft, calm feeling of the card.  I colored her up with copic markers and then used the coordinating Eat Sleep Yoga dies to cut her out. I used a few foam dots to pop her up.  So let's talk about the background for a quick second. IT might just be my favorite thing from this release. It's a new stencil called Flowers in a Heart Stencil. I picked out a few smaller Life Changing Blender Brushes and added in some different tones of green from The Stamp Market inks. I didn't really want the full effect of the heart shape, just a focus on the gorgeous florals, so I faded out the ink at the eges to give a softer edge.  I hope you love my card today and this new release. I am still getting inky with all the goodness. We added a scrub pad to the store, lots of stamps, dies, and stencils. Have a beautiful day and if you are feeling punchy, go do some yoga!  Hugs, Lisa
