Hello, friends! Welcome to the PFS´ blog! It´s Silvana here and today I wanted to share with you a duo of cards made with some of the new products from the May release.
I´m featuring here the new Sweet Summer Bellflowers stamp and coordinating die. A beautiful stamp set perfect for this spring / summer season.
I decided to go with silver embossing for the flowers to add shine and make the flowers colors pop. I colred them with Karin markers which are water based markers perfect to make a watercolor effect.
The backgrounds were made with the new Fabulously Glossy cardstock Sweet Gingham in the turquoise and green shades. For the turquoise a chose a monochromatic look, even with the gems from the Speed of light gem mix.
To soften the background I used some vellum cut with the Pinking Shear A2 cover plate die. The next layer was made with two different pieces glued together: one with the A2 Fancy Flourish Cover Plate die and one with the medium dome die from the Basic Die Cutting Set 1.
For the green card, I opted for a contrast with a violet flower and used some gems from the new Starry Skies Gem Mix. In this case, I made a frame with two dies from the Basic Die Cutting Set 1 and added some vellum. For the oval piece I used an oval die from the same set which I used to cut a piece of white cardstock and a piece made with the A2 Fancy Flourish Cover Plate die and glued them together.
The sentiments are from the Sweet Summer Bellflowers stamp set too.
And these are my two cards. I like to make similar cards with the same products at the same time just varying the colors or some layers just to see how the products work together and also it gives me the opportuity to make more cards at once.
I hope you enjoyed this set of cards and try your own pair.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
Have a fantastic weekend and happy crafting!
