Hello!  It's Sara from Much Love, Sara.  I'm here today to share a card with you using the Fireflies on a Warm Night Stamp Set, and Coordinating Dies from the April Release.
I love images that allow me to color, but sometimes - with large images - I like a bit of a shortcut with the coloring.  The Fireflies on a Warm Night Stamp Set, is one that you can use an easy "cheat" to get a pretty image, using colored pencils.
I began by stamping the jar image with a teal ink, onto pool colored card stock.  Then, I used my white, and aquamarine, Prismacolor pencils to add the highlights and shadows to the glass portions of the jar - the bulk of the color on this large image is simply the colored card stock, and ink.  Adding the shadows and highlights gives it depth without having to color the entire large area.  A few cool gray tones filled in the lid color, then I die cut the jar image with the coordinating die.
I also die cut the Hello Word Die from teal card stock that coordinated with the ink used previously, and a bit of vellum.  I stamped, and heat embossed in white, the Welcome Home sentiment from the Fireflies Stamp Set, onto a bit of black card stock, and cut a panel of the same black to be my card front.
I laid the elements on my MISTI, so that I could stamp the fireflies in cream ink around where the jar would be placed.  I stamped one firefly on a scrap of black card stock, so that I could die cut it, to sit on the hello die cut.  After that firefly was die cut, I used my 10% and 30% warm gray Prismacolor pencils to color in the wings, and the white, and deco yellow, pencils to color in the glow.  I adhered everything together with liquid adhesive, and foam tape, and added the card front to a white card base.  A white gel pen dotted on the body of each firefly completed the card.
I hope you enjoyed this card.  Have a fantastic Tuesday!

Much love,

Sara
