I love to create vintage cards combined with flowers! It might be my favorite style of cardmaking! Today I want to share one such vintage card using new products from the May release! I'll be using She Endured 6x6 stamp set, Swanky Sympathy Sentiments stamp, black and gold liquid splatters, Tangerine and Sunshine Yellow pearls, and Blooming Trumpet Flowers stamp!
First, I stamped She Endured 6x6 background stamp onto white cardstock using black ink. Then I trimmed the white card panel with my deckled paper trimmer and adhered it over a black panel that was slightly larger and also trimmed with the deckled paper trimmer. Both layers were adhered to a white card base sized 5.5x4.25. Then I added both black and gold liquid splatters over the panel.
In the photo above, you can see how the splatter compliments the print from the 6x6 stamp, yet it doesn't take away from the beauty of this stamp! I set the panel aside to allow the splatters to dry and focused on the large flower from Blooming Trumpet stamp set. I stamped the floral image in permanent black ink onto a white card panel and colored it with my Copic markers in shades of pink for the flowers and green for the leaves. I added a bit of shading detail with my colored pencils as well. Then I die cut the flower and adhered it over the background panel. I finished with a sentiment from Swanky Sympathy sentiments and then added Tangerine and Sunshine Yellow pearls over the flowers and beneath the sentiment!
