Before we jump into today's project, I wanted to let you know that I sometimes use affiliate links to share my favorite products. Don't worry, these links won't cost you a dime – they're just little crafty helpers behind the scenes that help support me if you use them to make a purchase! Let's dive into today's creative journey together!
Hello, friends! Justin here, and I am so excited to be on the blog today sharing my first post using the December 2024 Release! For today's card, I am using the new Happy Paws stamp set, which I also combined with the Beyond Basics: A2 Stamp Cover Plate with Postmark Dies!
This card was super fun to put together, so let's get into the details!
Here is a list of Picket Fence Studios Products that I used to create this card:
Happy Paws Stamp Set
Beyond Basics: A2 Stamp Cover Plate with Postmark Dies
Fetch Layering Stencil
Celestial Skies Gem Mix
Birthday Bash Foiling Toner A2 Card Fronts
To start this card, I stamped out a handful of images from the Happy Paws stamp set with Copic-safe ink, and then colored up the images with my Copic Markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut the images out, and then set them aside for later.
Taking the postage outline die from the Beyond Basics: A2 Stamp Cover Plate with Postmark Dies, I die cut the shape from white cardstock. I also trimmed down a piece of white blending cardstock that would layer nicely onto postage outline die cut. I blended this panel with Hickory Smoke, Lucky Clover and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Ink. I splattered the panel with water to get bleach marks, dried them, placed the pawprint layer of the Fetch Layering stencil over the panel, and ink blended with Black Soot Distress Ink over the stencil in a splotchy and inconsistent blending pattern.
I then stamped the sentiment "Tail-Wagging fun headed your way" in embossing ink, and heat embossed it with white powder. Using a combination of foam tape and liquid adhesive, I adhered all of my Happy Paws images to my card front. I then adhere the panel to a piece of Birthday Bash Toner Card Fronts, and then adhered the entire unit to an A2-size card base. I finished with adhering a few gems from the Celestial Skies Gem Mix, and my card was complete!
