Hello everyone, Lisa here and today I am sharing a card made with the super cute Mermaid Dear which is one of my favourite sets from the latest release. Isn't she just adorable?
Whenever I use Paper Glaze, I do my background first to give it time to dry whilst I work on the other elements. So to start, I took the Slim Line Gradiant Stencil and secured it down over a white A2 panel. Although this is a slim line stencil, as I am only covering a portion of the card, it works perfectly! Next, I took two of the colours from Paper Glaze Ombre Sky Blues - I used colours A and B and put a small amount of each down onto my media mat. I then took an equal amount of Paper Glaze Enhancer and mixed it into each colour. I applied them through the stencil using a spatula and going from bottom up, dark to light. I just love the texture you get using the enhancer in with the glaze and those blues are so pretty!
Whilst it was drying, I took the Mermaid Dear image and stamped her onto Neenah Solar White 80lb card using Black Hybrid Ink. I coloured her with Copics and then fussy cut her with the coordinating die. I coloured her in colours that would match with the City Lights Sequin Mix, so it all ties together nicely :). I popped her up onto the stencilled panel using foam tape.
To finish the card I stamped a greeting from the set onto black cardstock using Versamark Ink. I applied white detail embossing powder and heat set it. This was then trimmed out and also popped up with foam tape. And then of course, there has to be a little bit of sparkle, so I added some shimmer onto the fish and the mermaid's tail using and then a few coordinating sequins from City Lights Sequin Mix. The whole panel was then added to an A2 card base using double sided tape.
I love how this card came together particularly as I always enjoy time spent with Paper Glaze.Throw in a beautiful not-too-much-colouring image and you are good to go! Thanks for stopping by, see you all soon.
