Hello everyone! Bonnie here from Bonniecarollee Makes Cards! Well here she is … Leo Girl! The final stamp set in Picket Fence Studios' Horoscope Collection! And what a fabulous image to ‘wrap up’ this series! She is gorgeous with that beautiful mane of hair!
I began by creating a grouping of the sentiment, constellation image and horoscope sign on the door of a stamping platform. The background was stamped on Bristol Smooth card stock with Versamark mark ink and embossed with matte clear embossing powder. Each grouping was stamped and embossed one at a time and the panel adjusted for the next stamping. Distress Oxide inks, Abandoned Coral, Fossilized Amber and Salvaged Patina, were applied with a medium sized Life Changing Blender Brush randomly to the panel and set aside to dry. The panel was trimmed to 4” by 5 1/4” and buffed with a microfibre cloth to remove the ink sitting on top of the embossing.
- Medium Dark Skin Tone - E13, 01, 00
- Hair - E59, 37, 13, YR16
- Accents -R24, 21, YR16, 15
Parts of the image was accented with either a clear sparkle Gelly Roll or a gold Uniball pen. Leo Girl and black foam were cut with the coordinating die and then stacked. The sentiment, Leo, was die cut four times from black card stock, stacked and finished off with a die cut of matte gold.
The panel was mounted on black cardstock measuring 4 1/8” by 5 3/8” before being adhered to an A2 sized card base. After Leo Girl and the die cut sentiment were mounted on the card, several sequins from the Beach Vibes Sequin Mix were used to embellish the panel. The sequins were finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.
