Hello everyone! Bonnie here from Bonniecarollee Makes Cards. I am sharing a couple of cards using a gorgeous new addition to the Iconic Beauty Collection … Iconic Beauty Scarlett . This girl is a dreamy-eyed, beauty and I just had to make a second card nestling the girls in layers of vellum!
I began by stamping the image four times; three times on vellum with Versamark and once on white card stock with Intense Black Ink . The images on vellum were embossed in gold. After they were die cut with Iconic Beauty Scarlett Coordinating Die Set, the ruffles were fussy cut along the arms’ edge maintaining the embossed line.
The image stamped on card stock was Copic coloured. For the image with the light skin tone, E13, 11, 00 and 000 were used. The hair was coloured with E79, 57 and 09. The darker skin tone was achieved with E25, 13, 11 and 00 and for the hair, 100, E79 and 09. These images were die cut and stacked on foam die cuts. Three layers of ruffles were adhered along the arms‘ edge with a thin line of glue applied under the embossed lines. After the adhesive was dry, the layers were ‘fluffed up’ for a light and airy quality.
The image with the light skin tone was mounted on black card stock and adhered to an A2 sized card base matted in gold. The second image was mounted on teal card stock with the edges blended with Distress Oxide Black Soot for a quick and easy ink blended look. The card front was adhered to an A2 sized card base matted in black. The cards were embellished with sequins from the Day of Rainbows Sequin Mix. The sequins were finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.
