Before we jump into today's project, I wanted to let you know that I sometimes use affiliate links to share my favorite products. Don't worry, these links won't cost you a dime – they're just little crafty helpers behind the scenes that help support me if you use them to make a purchase! Let's dive into today's creative journey together!
Hello, friends! Justin here, and today I have some fun Easter inspiration using products from the January 2025 release! For today's card, I deconstructed the Easter Egg Swag Die so that I could nestle them inside of the Scene Building: A Tisket A Tasket Die.
Below are all of the Picket Fence Studios products that I used to create this card:
Easter Egg Swag Die
Scene Building: A Tisket A Tasket Die
Happy Easter Word Die
Easter Pop Sequin Mix Plus
Field of Wildflowers Fabulously Glossy Card Fronts
Opaque Pale Lavender Paper Splatter
Opaque Pale Yellow Paper Splatter
Let's get into the details for how this card came together!
First, I took the Easter Egg Swag Die and cut out the egg shapes from coral, light blue and light purple cardstock. I distressed the edges of each egg with an ink color slightly darker than that of the paper. I splattered my Coral Egg with the Pale Yellow Opaque Paper Splatter, and splattered the blue and purple eggs with the Pale Lavender Opaque Paper Splatter. Once they dried, I traced each egg onto a piece of paper in the same color family, but darker. I then manually cut out each egg, slightly smaller than what I traced, and adhered this to the back of each egg.
I took the A Tisket A Tasket Scene Building Die and cut if from kraft cardstock. I distressed the edges with a dark brown ink, I then also hand cut a backing piece to the main part of the basket to fill in the little woven cut outs. Using liquid adhesive, I adhered the eggs into the basket.
I took the Happy Easter Word Die and cut it once from white cardstock and once from light blue cardstock. I splattered the white die cut with Opaque Pale Lavender Paper Splatter. Once dry, I adhered the white layer on top of the light blue die cut, slightly offsetting the die cut so it peaked around it.
I took a portrait pattern from the Field of Wildflowers Fabulously Glossy A2 Card Fronts and adhered the basket at an angle in the upper portion of the card. I then used liquid adhesive to adhere my sentiment slightly below the basket. I finished my card by adhering it to an A2-size card base, and adding some embellishments from the Easter Bop Sequin Mix Plus!
