Colourful and fun cards to round of the crafty year

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all enjoying some calm crafting days between Christmas and New Year.

I have created a fun mixed media background for my first card for today's blog post. You might have seen that I have a weak spot for those. I started by using various colours on the Sweet Candy Hearts background stamp before inking up the Bricks and Mortar 6x8 stencil in a beige colour and then using the Gold coloured Paper Splatter Watercolor. Next I used the Quilting Hearts 6x8 stencil together with two shades of Paper Glaze Luxe, Arctic Fox and Pink Magnolia.

The stamp is Million Little Things which I coloured up with my Copics before die cutting it. The sentiment is from Surprise! It's Your Day. To finish off I added some sequins from the Vintage Christmas mix.

And of course we have room for a close up photo as well so you can see the background properly.

For today's second card I've decided to do some pencil colouring! I've used Caran d'Ache Luminance pencils on craft card stock. The stamp is from the set Friends Give the Best Hugs. And once again I've used a sentiment from the Surprise! It's Your Day set. The card has been kept simple and the coloured and stamped panel is put on a white card base with a simple striped paper in between and some sequins on top.

Instead of showing more photos of this card this time, I'm going with showing a third card instead! It makes sense that my final card is a no-line floral card! The gorgeous stamp is called Triandrous Daffodils. I've cut them out by hand and put them on foam tape to raise them up from the light grey card base. The sentiment is a die cut layered several times for dimension. The die is called Kisses For You. Again, sequins finished off the card.

I wish that next year will be your best one yet, full of laughter and crafty love. Take care of your loved ones.
