Hi friends! Today I want to share 2 cards using the same stamp, but each will be colored using a different medium! You can get a completely different look just by switching up the coloring medium, so let's take a closer look! I'll be using Winter Blooms bundle, Deck the Halls stamp, Liquid Splatters in Candy Cane Red, Holly Leaf Green, and Cranberry Red, and Signature Quotes: Christmastime.
My first card was colored using alcohol markers. First, I heat embossed the outer part of the flower from Winter Blooms using Rose Gold embossing powder. I did the same with the sentiments. Next, I colored the flowers in shades of light red, green, and teal.
Once the coloring was finished, I added Bright Pink & Coral Pearls over the flowers for shine and depth. That was it for this card! Simple and elegant!
The soft colors and beautiful embossing powder made this card so lovely! My next card is bolder, and we'll be using Liquid Splatters to apply color!
First, I applied a generous amount of CandyCane Red Liquid Splatters to a piece of watercolor cardstock. Then I heat embossed both the outer and inner flowers from Winter Blooms using gold embossing powder. Gold powder is brighter than Rose Gold.
Next, I water colored the flowers and leaves using Cranberry Red and Holly Leaf Green Liquid Splatters.
I wasn't concerned about shading, I just wanted to apply a rich layer of color so that the flowers and leaves stood out from the background panel. When I finished water coloring, I added Pearls in Navy Blue & Charcoal Grey over the flowers. Then I heat embossed a sentiment from Signature Quotes: Christmastime in gold powder, die cut it, and applied it over the card panel with foam tape.
This card is bold because of the bright colors, compared to the first card that had a softer look. You can use the same stamp set and get a completely different look each time, just by using different coloring mediums and varying the color combinations!
