Let's dive into today's creative journey together!
Hello, everyone! Justin here from Just a Note by Justin, and I am so excited to be back on the blog sharing my first creation with the September 2024 Release! This release is all things CHRISTMAS, and I had some fun using the Merry Christmas Word Die Set! I paired this new die set with the Christmas Tree Farm Stencil for a festive and textured background!
Now, let's get into all the holly jolly details for how this card came together!
I knew I wanted to start my card by creating my background. Taking an A2-size piece of white blending cardstock, I blended, from the center out, Cracked Pistachio, Lucky Clover and Pine Needles Distress Oxide Ink. I splattered the paper with some water to get some bleach spots, and then also splattered with the Holly Leaf Green Paper Splatter. Once dry, I took my Christmas Tree Farm Stencil, applied a small amount of Pixie Spray to the back of it, and then placed it over my panel. I applied a solid layer of the Holly Leaf Green color included in the Paper Glaze Luxe Seasonal Holiday Sampler. I removed my stencil, set my panel aside to dry in an uninterrupted space, and cleaned my stencil immediately.
While my panel was drying, I took the Merry Christmas Word Die Set and die cut "CHRISTMAS" from white cardstock, and the "merry" from red cardstock. I splattered the red "merry" die cut with Cranberry Red Paper Splatter and let it dry.
Once my Christmas Tree panel's applied Paper Glaze Luxe was fully dry. I trimmed the panel down to 4" x 5.25". I adhered it to a 4.125" x 5.375" piece of holographic gold cardstock, and then adhered that unit to an A2-size card base.
I carefully adhered the "CHRISTMAS" die cuts using liquid adhesive, and then used liquid adhesive to adhere the "merry" die cut over top. I finished my card by adhering a few clusters gems from the North Pole Gem Mix, and my card was completed!
Thank you so much for stopping by for some holiday inspiration! I can't wait to see what you create using the newest release!
