Hi guys! It’s Erica back on the blog today with some cards made with previously made backgrounds and the Slim Line Diecutting System! I have a habit of making more backgrounds than I need when I’m on a roll, just to be on the safe side... and because I really like it. What can I say? Ink blending, stencilling and ink smooshing is so much fun! It does lead to a big pile of backgrounds, which do come in handy when you then want to play with the Slim Line Diecutting System.  I started out by using the smaller rectangle on a panel made with the Slim Line Dashes. After ink blending with the stencil, I spritz water on top of the left over ink, then place water colour paper on top and press down to “print”. This gives a bit of a water coloured look, and it’s a great way to get at least one more extra background out of your ink blending! On this rectangle I then used the forest silhouette square, three times. The negatives I kept for a second card. These I added to a white rectangle with foam tape, stamped up a sentiment from Inside Quotes: Christmas in Black Hybrid Ink and added a generous sprinkling of Gin & Tonic sequins with the help of Glossy Accents.  The first panel I adhered to a background made with the Stars Stencil and Artemisa Silver Paper Glaze on white pearlescent card stock. This one was also finished off with a simple sentiment from the Inside Quotes: Christmas stamp set and Black Hybrid Ink.  Using another pre coloured panel, this one with a now VERY discounted Peony Bouquet stamp set, I used the stitched circle to cut out the flowers from it. Here is a fun tip: You don’t have to use the cutouts lined up straight on your background. On this card I didn’t even cut them out as full circles, just to change things up further!  The card base was made with one white rectangle, and layered up with one smaller cut out of green card stock. This one had a little texture added to it by inks blending some green ink through the Slim Line Dashes stencil with a Life Changing Blender Brush. The sentient is from Seriously Literally, and is stamped with Black Hybrid ink on white card stock, then trimmed down and adhered to the card across the circles.  I also had a background made with the Slim Line Floral stencil and Golden Rose Paper Glaze on white card stock. I love this combo, it’s so elegant. I decided to turn this into a wedding card, but had to fix a little problem. I managed to smudge the paper glaze when I put it on, I might have overworked it a little or not covered the stencil with enough Pixie Spray. To cover it up, I used the stitched circle over it and simply cut out the bad bit.  This one was finished off with a gold heat embossed sentiment from Fancy Sentiment stamp set, and some Candy Corn Shot sequins along the edge of the sentiment banner.  The last card is made with another slim line stencil, this time the Radial one and one of my fave colour combos for it: Yellow, orange and red. I love this look so much and made so many with this combo. Too many maybe... Anyway! I used the stitched circle again, and cut out the middle of the panel. On the back of this I adhered acetate to create a see-through window, and all around the edges and the circle I added foam tape.  This whole shebang was adhered to a dark grey card base, cut to size with the larger rectangle, after a good amount of sequins from the Candy Corn Shot sequin mix was added to the window. As it’s a shaker card I thought this sentiment ‘this card contains a lot of nuts and bolts’, from the So Franken Cute stamp set, was a fun way to finish it off.  Well, with that last one, that is it from me but I really hope you like these cards and found a good dose of inspiration here. The Slim Line Diecutting System really does give you so many different ways to make cards, and it really is so much fun to try them out! Hi everyone! Ilina here! Today I am sharing couple sim line cards using the new Slim Line Basket Petals stencil. I paired the stencil with the Hello word die and few gems from the Day and Night gem mix. To make the cards I started by cutting strips of pink/purple hue card stock. I cut the strips to about 1/4" wide and 8 1/2" long. I cut 5 strips for each card. Next adhere the strips for each card onto a thin paper (I used printer paper). Once the adhesive is dry, cut out the excess paper. Use the Slim Line Basket Petals stencil and blend in white craft ink with a Life Changing Blending Brush. Set aside to dry or use your heat tool to dry it.   While the strips are drying die cut the "Hello" word die from black and white card stock and assemble the die cuts (I added 3 layers for the black). Die cut a panel for your slim line card using the Slim Line Die Cutting system. Adhere the strips and trim off the excess from the ends. Adhere the Hello and add few black gems.  Create 2 slim line card bases and add the panels using some craft foam. You are done!!!  Thank you so much for stopping by. Hope you have an amazing day!

Hello, fellow crafters and happy Thursday!! I hope your week is going well!! I have a fun slim line shaker card to share with you today!! I LOVE butterflies!! They can be used for so many different occasions!! I began with my background panel, so it would have adequte time to dry (although it dries really quickly). I applied Snowdrop White Paper Glaze onto a panel of white cardstock through the Slim Line A Whole Lot of Polka Dots Stencil with a palette knife. While that was drying, I stamped the sentiment, from the Baby Butterfly Beauties Stamp Set, onto white cardstock with Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide Ink. I stamped some butterflies from the same set with Shaded Lilac, Kitsch Flamingo and Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Inks, then die-cut the sentiment and butterflies with the Coordinating Dies. I LOVE the sentiments in this stamp set...they are so uplifting and positive!! I also die-cut the second largest die in the Nesting Ring Die Set from pink cardstock.  Next, the stenciled background panel was die-cut with the smaller rectangle die in the Slim Line Die-Cutting System Set. The Monarch Butterfly Slim Line Die-Cutting System Insert was cut from the center of the panel. I adhered acetate behind the butterfly, then added foam tape to the back of the panel. A combination of All About the Pinks, All About the Yellows and All About the Purples sequin mixes were added for the shaker bits. I adhered a small piece of white cardstock behind the opening and then adhered the panel to a slimline panel of pink cardstock that was cut from the largest Slim Line Nested Rectangles Die. The Nesting Ring Die was adhered with liquid glue, while the sentiment and butterfly die-cuts were popped up with foam tape, for even more dimension. Whew!!  Hello, hello!  Larisa here and today, I'm sharing two fun and easy cards using the new Slim Line Die Cutting System as well as some of the new products from the November Release!  All products used are linked below.  Be sure to check out the Picket Fence Shop to see all the new goodies!   For my first, card, I started with some teal card stock and die cut it using the largest rectangle from the Slim Line Die Cutting System.  Then I use the smaller rectangle from a lighter blue card stock.  I used the stitched circle die in the set to create random circles on my lighter blue panel.  Then I adhered it to the teal piece.   I used some of the new snowflake dies to cut snowflakes in various sizes from white card stock, holographic card stock, and glassine paper.  Then I layered them on top of my card and adhered with Glossy Accents.  I added some scattered sequins throughout the card and finished it off with a sentiment heat embossed in white on black card stock.  Such a quick and easy card that really packs a punch!   For my next card, I used the new Slim Line Die cutting System and paired it with the new Pet all the Dogs Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies.  To begin, I chose a bright blue piece of card stock and die cut it using the largest rectangle in the set.  Then, I die cut a piece of white card stock using the smaller rectangle die.  I used the picket fence die to cut three openings in my white panel.  Then I used the grass die to cut  three grass pieces from green card stock.  I layered each one behind the picket fence openings and adhered them together.  Then I colored up my dogs, cut them out using the coordinating dies, and tucked one of them in between my grass and fence.  Then I adhered it all together and popped my dogs on top using foam tape.  I stamped my sentiment across the top and added some die cut clouds from the A Spooky Day Stamp and Coordinating Die set.   Again, another quick and easy card that's sure to brighten anyone's day!   Products Used: Snowflake LaWanda Die Snowflake Alice Die Pet all the Dogs Stamp Pet all the Dogs Coordinating Die A Spooky Day Stamp A Spooky Day Coordinating Die Inside Quotes: Christmas Stamp Moonshine Sequin Mix Winter Snowflakes Die Black Hybrid Ink Slim Line Die Cutting System Hope you have a great week!  Thanks so much for stopping by!!  

Hey cardmaking friends and welcome back.  It's Sandi here with another card in the Christmas Card Extravaganza here at Picket Fence Studios. Today it's a Slimline Holly Jolly Christmas.  I combined all my favorites on this card so it's packed with interest, layers and bling.  I hope you like it.     Yes, all the things on one card, haha. How to create the Slimline Holly Christmas card: Start with a 3-1/4 x 8-1/4 piece of white, cut with the Slim Line Die Cutting System. Lay the Slim Line Basket Petals Stencil over it and use the Life Changing Brushes to add Distress Oxides through the stencil.  I used Salvage Patina, Evergreen Bough, Pine Needles and Black Soot. Next, Use the Misti and the Black Hybrid Ink to stamp the holly stamp into hammermill white cardstock. Color with Copic Markers: Greens:  Bg11, BG34, G19, G28 Pinks:  RV34, RV17, RV19, RV69 Use the coordinating die to cut out the holly and set aside.   For the Sentiment: Die cut the Slim Line Merry Christmas Word Die in mirror gold, and two of the Blue spruce cardstock, stack them together. Finally, Use the Sky Blue Paper Glaze Ombre, spread it across a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 piece of white card and let it dry. Cut the Snowflake Lydia from it. Assembling the card:  Layer the card front to a 3-3/8 x 8-3/8 mat in Blue Spruce (from Spellbinders) and then to a 4 x 9-1/2 white card base. Use the Bearly White Glue with the fine tip to attach the paper glaze snowflake. Next, over that, add the holly. Finally, use the Bearly White Glue again to attach the sentiment. Hello!  Larisa here!  Today, I'm sharing a couple of slim line cards using some of the new goodies from the January Release!  Slim line cards are all the rage right now and Picket Fence Studios has you covered!  So many stencils, dies, and even envelopes!  It's your on-stop-shop for all your slim line needs!!!   For my first card, I used the NEW Slim Line Ocean Waves Cover plate.  However, instead of creating waves with it, I die cut it from glitter white card stock and made snow!  I love that it's so versatile!  I layered my glitter panel on top of some white card stock cut with the Slim Line Die Cutting System and added some die cut snowflakes throughout the scene.  For my gnomes, I stamped them out, trimmed them apart, colored them with my Copics, and tucked them into the hills of my snow banks.  Then I added some of the NEW Spring Fling Sequins and Purple Side of a Rainbow Gems to give it some sparkle.  I stamped my sentiment from the More Fancy Sentiments Stamp Set and die cut it out with the coordinating dies (this is one of my favorite sets, by the way!  Love it!).  Then I popped it on top of my card with some foam tape for added dimension.   For my next card, I created a vertical slim line card.  To begin, I die cut a piece of white card stock using the Slim Line Die Cutting System.  I die cut a smaller rectangle from white card stock as well and used the NEW The Sleeping Tree Stamp Set to stamp my tree in the center.  Then I used some distress inks and the NEW 52 Layers of Clouds Stencil to create my background, careful not to cover the center of my tree image.  I colored that in with Copics.  Then I die cut some Tall Grass and adhered that to the bottom of the image.  I added some of the NEW Fire Gem Mix to my image, matching the colors with the distress inks in the clouds.  Then I stamped my sentiment from the Fancy Christmas Sentiments Stamp Set.  I used the coordinating dies to cut it out and added it to the bottom of my scene.     Products Used: Fancy Christmas Sentiments Die Set Fancy Christmas Sentiments Stamp Set Gem Mixes- Fire Gem Mixes- Purple Side of a Rainbow Spring Fling Sequin Mix Gem Pick Up Tool 52 Layers of Clouds Stencil Slimline Tall Grass Die Slim Line Ocean Waves Cover Plate Die The Sleeping Tree Stamp Winter Snowflakes Baby, It's Cold Outside More Fancy Sentiments Clear Stamp More Fancy Sentiments Die Slimline Rainbow Envelopes Black Hybrid Ink Life Changing Blender Brushes Slim Line Die Cutting System Have a great day!  Thanks for stopping by!  

Hello!  Or should I say, "Hello, Lovely!"  I hope you are having a fabulous week!  Today, I am sharing a pretty slim line card featuring the NEW Slim Line Die Cutting System!  As you've probably already heard, this Die Cutting System is so easy to use and offers endless possibilities!  For my card, I paired it with some patterned paper and Beautiful Girl Karen!     First, I die cut the smaller rectangle from some plaid patterned paper.  Then I layered that on top of some white card stock die cut with the larger rectangle.  This created the base panel for my card.  Then I used the tree square from the set and die cut that from some white card stock.  I trimmed around the edges to create a white border and then layered that onto some black card stock and trimmed again.  Then I adhered it to the top of my card panel.  I stamped, colored, and die cut my image and popped her in the center of the frame using foam tape.  Then I die cut and layered up my "lovely" sentiment.  I adhered that just below my image.  The "hello" sentiment is from the Dragon Fruit stamp set.  I heat embossed that in white and trimmed it into a rectangle.  Then I added it just over the bottom of my "lovely" sentiment.  A few Gin and Tonic Sequins finish this card off!  I just love how it turned out and it was so easy to create!   Products Used:   Black Hybrid Ink Gin and Tonic Sequin Mix Beautiful Girl Karen Karen Girl Coordinating Die Lovely Word Die Dragon Fruit Clear Stamp Set Slim Line Die Cutting System

I hope everyone is keeping warm!  Today, I'm sharing two slim line cards featuring the new release and a couple of the beautiful girl stamps.  For my first card, I used the Slim Line Die Cutting System to cut my card base. Then I cut a smaller panel from white card stock and used the new Slim Line English Brick Wall Stencil to add a tan brick wall effect. I die cut a circle from the bottom right hand corner and backed with a black mat. I stamped out my beautiful girl image, colored her up with Copics, and die cut her out using the coordinating die. Then I added some gold thread behind her and popped her in the middle of the circle using foam tape. I added the New Seriously Word Die just above the image and stamped my sentiment just below.  For my next card, I used The Slim Line Die Cutting System to cut my card panel. Then I used the stencil and some Pink Carnation Paper Glaze to create a soft background on a strip of white card stock. Once it was dry, I trimmed it to fit my panel and adhered it down. Then I heat embossed my sentiment in white sand added a strip of gold glitter card stock. For my image, I stamped her out, colored her up with Copics, and cut her out using the coordinating die. Hi everyone! Ilina here! I hope you are enjoying the October release. I know I do. I wanted to share a mini slim line card today using the new Watercolor Roses set and show you that you can use the set and not color the image. By adding splatters on your background you create fun addition of color and no need of coloring. To make the card I first die cut the panel using the largest scalloped die from the Mini Slim Line Stitched and Scalloped Rectangles Die Cutting System. Next I added some splatters and let it dry completely. One dry stamp the Watercolor Roses main image using the Picket Fence Studios Black ink pad. One you have stamped the image stamp the sentiment using the same black ink. Hello! It's Rachelle here and I'm so excited to share this slim line shaker card I created by combining lots of different Picket Fence Studios' products!  This design came together pretty quickly with the help of a couple key products. First - the "Slim Line Full Front Shaker Die" Set and secondly, the NEW "Slim Line Woods Cover Plate Die" Set!  I started by die cutting the woods die scene from heavy-weight white card stock and selectively trimming a few trees/branches from the image. I chose to edit this because I wanted a bit more space for the shaker garnish to be seen and to highlight the deer die cut. Once trimmed, I watercolored just the leaves in a bright green and the die cut was glued onto a piece of charcoal gray card stock. This is almost a reverse silhouette design and all of the components really pop off of that charcoal background!   I created a white frame by using the slim line rectangular insert from the "Slim Line Full Front Shaker Die" and a smaller rectangle from the "Slim Line Nested Rectangles Dies". This frame was cut twice and glued/stacked together and adhered on top of the woods panel. I die cut a piece of thin packaging acetate with the "Slim Line Full Front Shaker Die", adhered double-sided tape along three sides of the back of the woods panel and wrapped the acetate around to adhere it into place. I chose to use the NEW "Spring Green Shaker Garnish" as my fill (to match my green leaves) and carefully poured about a tablespoon into my shaker panel. Then all I had to do was to close up the remaining shaker flap on the backside with the double-sided tape and the panel was adhered to the front of a slim line card base.   I die cut the sentiment from brushed silver card stock using the "Mini Slim Line Double Stitched Rectangles Die Cutting System" and the running buck ("More Deer Family Dies") from gray card stock. Both of these die cuts were carefully adhered to the shaker acetate with liquid adhesive to finish up the design! I just love how that Spring Green Shaker Garnish easily moves inside the card front and works both as leaves and grass in this scene! I highly encourage you to try some of the NEW Shaker Garnish colors - they are so light weight and really add a unique shaker element especially when combined with Picket Fence Studios' Sequins/Sequins Mix Plus options! Hi guys!  It's Erica back on the PFS blog today with another slim line card extravaganza! I know.. every time is an extravaganza it seems, but seriously, can you blame me when I have all these fun dies to play with??  When I first laid eyes on the Scallop Frames Slim Line Diecutting System, I was hooked! HOOKED I say! Oh my goodness, the possibilities. In this post we are going to go into some of those!  In the Scallop Frames set there are some little inserts, as well as the rectangular dies. You get two circles, two scalloped circles and two hearts, as well as a 'hi' and a huge 'celebration' word dies.  First off I used the gorgeous scalloped frames on some previously made backgrounds. Both of these are done with the Waves slim line stencil, and are ink blended with Life Changing Blender Brushes and Distress Oxide inks.  On the first one, I used both scalloped frames, and popped the smaller one up with some foam tape. Then I cut that huge celebrate word die out of black card stock and simply added that to the card. The black against that colourful background really makes the whole thing pop!  I didn't stop there though, I added gem stones from several mixes, including the Reflections, Fire, and Purple Side Of A Rainbow, to give the card some gorgeous sparkle. I added these with the gem picker and some liquid glue. For the second card I cut the celebrate out of the panel, and another out of black card stock. These I layered up and adhered back onto the background.  It wouldn't be an extravaganza without some other cards, and I'm hoping you won't be disappointed with these: This one is done with another already made background, Paper Glaze in Yellow Primrose over the Slim Line Centre Flower stencil. That huge Congratulations word die was the only thing needed, as well as a nice scalloped edge thanks to the Scalloped Frames SDCS.  I also put those hearts to use, and realised that if I stacked them while running them through my diecutting machine, I actually got FOUR pieces in one session. Yep, that's right! Four!  On this one, I used the solid heart shapes, as well as the outline that was created by cutting them all out together. The card base was made with the Scalloped Frames SDCS, cut from white card stock.  The solid heart shapes were popped up with foam tape, and each one got three gems of different sizes added to them. Oh and a sentiment from Fancy Daily Sentiments, that was stamped up in Black Hybrid Ink, and then diecut with the coordinating die. The heart frames didn't go to waste, so I used them on another card. This background was made by spritzing water on the Waves Slim Line stencil after an ink blending session and then print it with water colour paper. I used the Scalloped Frames SDCS again, once on the background, and then the frame rectangle on grey card stock.  With the grey frame adhered to the background, I layered up the hearts by colours and another diecut sentiment from the Fancy Daily Sentiments was added, along with a few sequins from the Purple-Rita mix. Well, with that, I'm all done for today but I hope you enjoyed these cards. Hello crafty friends!  Yesterday was the Picket Fence Studios January Release Day so I have lots to share today. This release is so huge that you are going to have to check it all out HERE at the store!  But before you go, I have a few samples to share with you!  First, up Picket Fence Studios has three new Paper Glazes.  They are soft and sweet.  For this card, I used Mint Hydrangea Paper Glaze with the Coloring Book Stencil. I created a Diamond Cut-out top layer with the Slimline Die Cutting System.  I added the Welcome Die and the new Spring Fling Sequins Mix. Lastly, beneath the card are two of the beautiful Slim Line Rainbow Envelopes. Up Next, I have another slimline to share only this time I have switched the orientation.  For the background, I have stamped the 4x4 Falling hearts and then I added a top layer using circles from the Slim Line Die Cutting System. I made a faux shaker by simply adding a sprinkle of Green Fairy Sequins to each circle.  I die cut the new Always sentiment out three times and stamped LOVE from Wild Peonies.  Wild Peonies only a beautiful floral set but it also has wonderful sentiments too.   Lastly, I have my card resting on the new Slim Line Neutral envelopes!  For my last sample today, I am featuring this fun cloud scene card today which I shared on my Release Day post yesterday.  If you missed my Release Day Post you can stop by HERE to see the new Poem/watermark for the back of cards and more!  I love clouds so I couldn't wait to dive into the new  52 Layers of Clouds Stencil and the Slim Line Rising Sun Stencil.  The Slim Line Short Grass Die is fabulous and extends the full length of a slimline card!  I added "thinking of you" from the More Fancy Sentiments set and now you can purchase the Coordinating Die for exquisite sentiment styling!  I couldn't resist adding the bird silhouettes from the Sleeping Tree Set. Today I am sharing a slimline card using the new Bugville set and the coordinating dies along with the Slim Line Die Cutting system. To make the card start by die cutting the layering panel for the slimline card. Using the Life Changing Blending Brushes blend some blue ink for the sky. I used Broken China Distress Oxide ink. Stamp sentiment in black.   Stamp the image on Bristol paper using the Black Hybrid ink pad and watercolor. I used Karin markers for my watercoloring. Die cut using the coordinating dies and adhere to the panel using foam tape adhesive. Create Black Slim Line card base using black card stock measuring 7" x 8 1/2" and score at 3 1/2". Use craft foam or foam tape to adhere the panel to it. Super easy and super fun!
