Using the Life Changing Blender Brushes with Art Crayons

Hi,
Susan here on the blog today! I have 3 fun and easy to make cards for you and today is all about our Life Changing Blender Brushes and stencils. I have been really enjoying using our Life Changing Blender Brushes with various media but particularly the Vicki Boutin Art Crayons. I used several of our stencils. I have a video for you as well. See the link above.

For the first card, I used our Ocean of Fish stencil with the blues and greens of the Art Crayon Set 1 and applied them with the blender brush onto Distress Watercolor paper. I did apply a bit of water to each color. Each color wiped off the brush easily. After the stenciling was dry, I added Hero Arts Tide Pool and Pool inks using the Life Changing Blender Brushes. I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

For the second card, I used the Peacock Tail stencil and added some blue and greens and purple in subsequent layers to the stencil. Once that was dry, I added Nuvo Moonstone glimmer paste using the Random Dots stencil – I love the versatility of this stencil. I let that all dry and then added a white heat embossed sentiment.

For the last card I used the Fish Scales stencil and first added Vicki Boutin Glitter paste. After that was dry, I added Distress Oxide Victorian Velvet Ink with one of my Life Changing Blender Brushes. The paste acted as a resist. After the blending was completed I wiped off the stenciled areas with a baby wipe to remove any excess ink. I added a sentiment stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

Thank you for being here today. I have linked to the products used below and don’t forget to watch the video!
