Using Stencils as a Main Image

Using Stencils as a Main Image

Do you love stenciling? I really do – and love how a stencil can be used in the background for a subtle pattern, as well as in the foreground, and be the “main event.” Today I am highlighting one of our new stencils to be the focus of my card.

I am using Oceans of Fish Stencil with a sentiment from Boho Gypsy Girl. My background was made with watercolor paint.

The Life Changing Blender Brushes are a must have! It was easy to ink up all the cute little fishy tails using a couple of the smaller brushes and my Faded Jeans Distress Ink. Having the right tools will make a huge difference in your enjoyment of stenciling!

For my side panel, I stamped images from Little Coral Girl using VersaMark ink.  It gives a nice, blended look rather than using an ink with color.

We have some amazing stencils (and more coming soon!), so I hope you will give stenciling a try!
