Spinner Card

Spinner Card

Hello there, crafty friends. It’s Heather Ruwe here today and I have an interactive card to share today that spins…

I started by stamping THIS image and adding color with Copic markers. I decided to try no-line coloring on this project for a softer look. I cut out the image using THIS coordinating die and cut it once more for the back of the spinner. I added some of THIS clear thread between the two die-cut layers.

I cut a heart from the front of the card as well as a panel that I would adhere on top. I adhered the string in the center of the heart and adhered the top panel, sandwiching it between the two layers. I white heat embossed a coordinating sentiment from the same set and adhered colorful nesting hearts to the inside for some added fun…

I turned the string to tighten it up and closed the card shut. This way when the recipient opens the card, it spins. You can view it in action HERE.

I hope this inspires you to try a spinner card. They are so fun to make!

Thanks for visiting today.

Cute spinner card, not only did you inspire me to make a spinner, but also to try my hand at no line coloring again – did it once before and did not like it so I quickly gave up and never tried it again.
