Hello, hello! It’s Lisa Henke here today and I’m excited to be taking a break from the crazy holiday prep (we are celebrating the Thanksgiving Holiday here in the United States tomorrow) to share a pretty card with you today. It has a little bit of everything. I hope you like it.
I started with the awesome new Basket Weave Stencil and a Life Changing Blender Brush. I laid down the Basket Weave Stencil and secured it in place with some purple tape. The Life Changing Blender Brushes make adding any colors just so easy. I used some Distress Oxide inks in Weathered Wood, Dried Marigold, and Peacock Feather to give a nice warm and pretty color pallet.
I had also had a solid ink blended panel done in the same colors, without the stencil design, and used that to cut out the Negative Petals Die. I decided to use the positive pieces from the die and carefully laid them back into place with using the negative piece as a template. This ensures perfect placement and spacing of the die pieces after they fall out from the die cut. I adhered them over top of the stenciled background for a different feel of a tone-on-tone look.
It’s no secret I love a good word die and the new Congrats Word Die is splendid. It even has a shadow die piece to go along with it. I cut the word from sparkly Rose Gold glitter paper and added it to the shadow and topped that on a strip of vellum card stock. I added one more touch of texture with some natural burlap twine.
Thanks for hanging with me today. Before I send you off, don’t forget, the AMAZING Black FRIDAY Sale happening!
