How are are we today? All excited about the November release and rearing to get more inspiration? You have come to the right place! I had a few fun ideas twirling around in my head and decided to try one for this blog post. The stencil I picked out for this experiment is the Roses Stencil.
As a BIG fan of stencils, I’m always up for a good time with them. I love ink blending, especially after discovering the Life Changing Blender Brushes. They really are Life Changing, my ink blending has never looked better! They are not only fab for ink blending, they also work beautifully with Embellishment Mousses! Instead of ending up thick and textured, they leave a gorgeous shimmer! I have done this several times on white card stock but for today’s post I decided to use my mousses on black card stock. This was my experiment!
I used a differentLCCB brush for each colour to make sure I did not contaminate the colour in the tubs. I also used a huge piece of black card stock to make sure I could play around and move my stencil if I wanted. Doesn’t it look fab with the Roses??
For the petals I used a couple of pink mousses and for the leaves I used a mix of soft green and turquoise. They came up even more shimmery once they had dried!
While I was on a roll I thought I’d add a little bit of white pigment ink around the edges. The end result is a bit of a chalkboard look. I have never tried this before but it won’t be the last time. To finish off the card I stamped up a few sentiments from the Charlotte The Chameleon set. These are also stamped up in white ink to continue with the chalk board look.
With that, it was time to set the card aside as pigment ink takes a long time to dry. Do not touch-y!
Thanks for stopping by the blog today and sharing in with my experiment!
Lots of love and happy crafting from Erica
