I am up on the blog today. I have a couple of cards from the July Release. For this first one I really wanted to use the Peacock Mandala stencil. This stencil has so very many possibilities. But for some reason on this day, I decided to make a more subdued card. I stencil Simon Says Stamp White Pigment Ink through the stencil using my Life Changing Blender Brush (3rd largest) onto Neenah Desert Storm 80 lb card stock. I trimmed the panel to 4 x5.25″. I then mounted this onto an A2 sized card made also made from Neenah Desert Storm.
For the sentiment, I embossed Good Vibes onto vellum. To keep the tone on tone look I used Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder. It has a nice shine and a color that lies between silver and gold. I added some cream enamel dots and called it done.
For my second card, I decided to brightened things up quite a bit – must have been a different day and mood lol! I white heat embossed Vortex of Hearts onto some bright pink card stock trimmed to 4 x 5.25″. I mounted that on a pastel yellow polka dot background.
I then die cut the shadow portion of the Everything die out of vellu. I used Neenah Solar White 80 lb card stock for the word. I carefully pieced this together using a liquid adhesive. This is really easy to assemble but I can be a bit of a clutz! I added a sentiment strip saying happy that was white heat embossed. I did pop this up with 3M foam tape. I added some Pretty Pink Posh clear droplets for added interest. And there is another one done lol.
A lot of the sets in this release are so easy to use. Go take a look at the store.
