Kiesha Rocks

Kiesha Rocks

Hi everyone!!  Jennifer Timko here with today’s post from Picket Fence Studios.  I am so happy to share this beautiful new stamp image with you.  I could not even wait for a few minutes to color her and I finally got some time this week.  Ah, the post Christmas quiet day!  What a welcome relief from some of the craziness.

I stamped Kiesha using the Picket Fence Hybrid Ink with my Misti.  Then I started playing with her shading.  I learned something from Lydia recently about adding a violet hue to ethnic skin colors for depth.  Wow, what a difference a little makes!  I listed my Copic colors below but really I just kept layering on color until I got the shading like I wanted it.  She is such a beauty to color. Enough room to add dimension while still not being overwhelming.

Then I added some washi tape from my stash in the pretty blue.  Finally, I pulled out some sequins (Mermaid Lemonade from PFS).  They are not in the store right now but I listed another set that would work great too!

I hope you like my card for today!  I look forward to your thoughts and I hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend!  Please be careful if you are out and about traveling. You are so important to all of us and we need you safe!  See you soon…thanks for stopping in today!
