Hello! It’s Lisa Henke here today and I had a “flocking” good time making this card. Yes, that was cheesy but it is such a great stamp set and I love the sentiment. It’s called What a Flock and I adore the flamingos. I stamped them in a line onto some X-press It Blending card stock with some Copic friendly ink and colored them up with a variety of pink Copic markers.
I used some grey tones (W1, W3 and W5) to ground the birds and then stamped the sentiment in Midnight ink from Reverse Confetti along the bottom. Oh, how I love punny sentiment! I loved the larger sentiment and that it covered the bottom third of my card.
I decided to add a thin strip of Insulation Pink card stock along the left side and so I trimmed the stamped panel just a smidge so I could pop it up on an A2 card base and still have the pink card stock show. I finished it off with a scattering of pink sequins. I don’t normally do single layer cards, so I had fun with the challenge for myself. It makes me smile!
