Good day PFS fans. It’s Lisa Henke with you today, sharing a card and my love for stencils. I get so excited each release to see what new stencils will be added to the line up. I have found they are true magic, and when paired with the Life Changing Blending Brushes, creating magic is so easy. Today’s card has a bit of a retro feel to it because of the colors I used. I started with a white piece of card stock and taped down the Heart of Flowers Stencil. I turned it at a bit of an angle to catch the corner of the card base. I then pulled out two different sizes (I love that there is the variety of sizes to blend with. It made changing up my colors and getting into the nooks and crannies of the leaves a whole lot easier) of the Life Changing Blending Brushes and Distress Oxide inks in Picked Raspberry, Wild Honey, and Shabby Shutters.
The magic happens once you peel back the stencil and see all the beautiful detail of the stencil and ink. I took my white gel pen and added some dot detail to the center of the flowers. I didn’t want to cover up too much of the Heart Flower Stencil, so I reached for the Hey You Word die and cut it out with some Flamingo card stock. I cut the word bubble layering piece twice, once from White and again from Midnight cardstock and layered up the pieces behind the word. I made the black just peek out a bit from below to help make it all pop. Before I adhered it down, I pulled a smaller sentiment from the A Bluebonnet stamp set and inked it up with Intense Black ink to complete my sentiment. I then layered the whole finished panel with some Midnight card stock and added it to a top folding A2 card base.
It’s a simple card when you break it down, but that stencil magic really is a feast for the eyes. I love how it all came together. Thanks for stopping by today. Have a beautiful day, ok!
