Foiled Peony & Ink Blending

Foiled Peony & Ink Blending

Welcome everyone! Mindy Eggen here with you today to share a foiling project. Have you ever tried ink blending on your foiled images? It’s a great effect to add to your cards!

I foiled the Peony in Gold onto white card stock and used the coordinating die to cut it out.

Next, I ink blended Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink over the entire foiled area and then added Candied Apple Distress Oxide Ink to just the center. The foiling resists the ink and I just take a cloth to wipe away the excess. This leaves my beautifully foiled detail and adds a little dimension to the flower by adding color.

I attached my peony to a white panel cut to 3 3/4″ x 5″ and attached to a card base made from Innocent Pink card stock. The sentiment comes from the You Got This stamp set and is heat embossed in white onto Black card stock

Hope you give this a try! Ink blending over your foiled images adds so much more to the card!
