Hello friends, it’s Lisa Henke here with you today. Critters and polka dots are a two of my favorite things when card making. Getting to combine the two is even better. Peach & Piper quickly became a favorite from the latest release. This image of the two hugging bunnies gives me all the feels. I used the coordiating Peach & Piper dies to cut them out. I created some grass and ground with the help of my copic markers and used some foam dimensionals to pop them up.
I set the duo aside and then created the fun background thanks to the cool Dots Die Negative die. It is really easy to work with and I simply ran it through my die cut machine a few times after moving it around on my white card stock panel with each pass. If you plan ahead with where your image or a smaller panel might go on your card design, then the larger un-cut center of the panel can easily be hidden. On my card, the circle panel covers up this space. Here is a closer look at the fun dotted details.
I was excited about the new sentiment set, too. It’s a whole sheet of teeny sentiment finishers that work with the larger “thanks” and “thank yous”. It’s called Small Ways to Say Thanks and it’s pretty fantastic. I love the look of white embossed sentiment on a black card stock strip, this set is perfect for this look.
I decided to add a pop of color to the background with some yellow striped paper. The finished panel was popped up with some foam dimensionals.
Thanks for stopping by today. We are getting close to our next release. I hope you have saved your pennies because it’s a good one. Like, really good!
