Botan Peony Decor

Botan Peony Decor

Hello everyone, It’s Ceal here to share with you today. When I was watercoloring the Botan Peony, I thought that it would make a great piece of home decor so I created two different pieces using the same stamp.

The first one I stamped the Botan Peony on some hot press watercolor paper using Gina K embossing ink and embossed it in Brutus Monroe Gilded embossing powder and watercolored it using Daniel Smith Watercolors. I was going to use it on a card but then thought how gorgeous it would be as a picture so I decided to frame it.

Then my brain kept thinking, what if I could emboss it on a canvas?? I have never tried stamping and embossing on a canvas but it turned out pretty good. It was kinda hard to get a good impression on the canvas though and probably would have turned out better had I had a flat canvas instead of stretched one.  I used the same process inking it with Versamark and embossing in gilded embossing powder. I added a sentiment from the Let’s Shake Our Tail Feathers set to the canvas and it will be a gift to my daughter who loves peonies.

I have used affiliate links in my post, what does this mean? If you click on the link or the picture and make a purchase from that link then I will receive a small commission on the sale at no additional cost to you.

Thank you for your support!
