At Picket Fence Studios, we are always on the lookout for talented artists and crafters who can inspire and dazzle our community with their unique creations. This October, we had the immense pleasure of welcoming Lauren Taylor as our guest designer, and boy, did she bring her A-game! Lauren's cardmaking style is truly exceptional, characterized by its remarkable composition and her keen eye for selecting the perfect products to make extraordinary cards.

Here's a little more about Lauren:
"My name is Lauren Taylor and I like to make things! Handmade cards are my favorite and I have been making them for almost 15 years. I consider myself an "evenings and weekend crafter" as I work full time (I have an engineering degree), my daughter's Girl Scout Leader and married, living in Southern California! You can find me sharing my creations on YoutubeInstagram and my Blog.

A Rustic Christmas Greeting

Products
A Christmas Hello Stamps
A2 Giant Christmas Tree Die
Embellishment Jar Christmas Flurries

Lauren's first masterpiece features the "A Christmas Hello" stamp and die set. What immediately catches the eye is the rustic charm she infused into the background using mixed media techniques. It adds a warm, inviting touch to the card.

The focal point, the beautifully colored image, is sitting behind that rustic background, featuring the A2 giant christmas tree die in a subtle yet effective way.
Santa Claus Comes Tonight!
Products
If you're looking for a card that embodies the spirit of Christmas, look no further than Lauren's second creation. She used the "Santa Claus Comes Tonight" stamp set to craft a delightful shaker card.

This card is all about festive fun, and it's impossible not to smile when you see Santa's joyful image surrounded by shimmering sequins.

Penguin Playtime
In her third card, Lauren continued to spread holiday cheer with the "Animal Crackers, A Penguin Christmas" stamp set. This time, she added an extra layer of excitement by turning it into a shaker card, creating a snowy background effect that's truly enchanting.
But what sets this card apart is Lauren's thoughtful touch: she also stamped a message inside the card, adding a personal and heartwarming element.
It Takes a Village
Products
For her grand finale, Lauren used the "Snowman Village" stamp and die set to create a super cute winter scene. It's a beautiful, festive card that captures the essence of the season perfectly.
Using the fancy tree stencil to create those stunning snowflakes is the perfect background setting for the snowmen village, and stamping the sentiment in read pulls the whole card together.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Lauren for gracing us with her talent and creativity this month. Her cards have been a tremendous source of inspiration for our craft community. Lauren's ability to craft not just cards but little pieces of art is truly remarkable. We hope you've enjoyed her designs as much as we have!

As always, stay tuned for more exciting guest designers and incredible craft inspirations each month. Many thanks from all of here at Picket Fence Studios. Happy Crafting!
