Whew, we have almost made it to the end of May-cember. At least that is my new term for it (totally stolen, of course…because I’m too busy to make up something). All of the crazy of December without the presents! My boys’ activities are winding down and their end-of-school-itis is ramping up. Clearly, I needed to take a moment in my stamp room to enjoy some coloring!
And what better to color than one of the Beautiful Girls?!! I have been in love with Sandra since the moment I saw her. In fact, I now have TWO Sandras! The original Sandra Girl and also Kiss Kiss Sandra Girl. The difference? Kiss Kiss is just a big larger. And now, soon to the shop will be a coordinating die for the original. Oh happy day! Something about this image reminds me of a friend of mine who loves pink so I choose pink as my accent color. I used Copic Markers to color the image and the little butterfly too.
I love practicing my Copic skills on these lovely images! Something about their design makes it so fun to work on shading. Totally what I needed in my chaotic week was a little time to play. Once Sandra was done, I used the Random Dots Stencil with Distress Oxide Ink to create a background on watercolor paper. I added the sentiment from the Kiss Kiss set. What a wonderful message for any friend, don’t you think?
I hope you enjoy this card and that you will have a bit of time for crafting this weekend. If you celebrate Memorial Day, I wish you a safe holiday full of remembrance and thanks.
